Who is eligible to join? Any attorney employed by the County of Orange is eligible,
which includes Attorney I, II, III, Deputy Attorney IV and Sr Deputy Attorney
classifications. You may join OCAA as soon as you are hired or promoted to an
attorney classification.
What are the benefits of joining OCAA? Our mission is to represent attorneys (you) in
the collective bargaining process, wage negotiations, and in matters arising from the
terms and conditions of employment with the County of Orange. Our goal is to serve
you, County government and the public by supporting and maintaining a motivated
and productive attorney workforce. There are over 550 other County attorneys, dues
paying members, who are represented by OCAA. Although membership is voluntary,
virtually all County attorneys join OCAA.
OCAA has negotiated past contracts, which have proven to be very lucrative to County
attorneys and has provided significant negotiated benefits as well. Also, OCAA offers
