In a previous update we told you the county told us that the checks for back pay for the denied/delayed step raises as a result of the imposition would be issued by the end of November. Those checks have not been issued, and the county just told us last week they would be delayed. According to the county it took longer than anticipated for some of the departments to submit the necessary paperwork to Central Payroll. The county now tells us these checks will be issued by the end of this month.
OCAA will continue to press the county to issue these checks as soon as possible. We share your frustration with how long it has taken for the county to issue these checks and have expressed our frustration to the county. We will continue to provide updates on all aspects of the settlement agreement and new MOU as we receive that information.
