On January 27, 2015, a special election will be held for the Board of Supervisors First District. The OCAA board is announcing our endorsement of State Senator Lou Correa for this election. After interviewing the candidates who were willing to speak to us, we strongly believe that Senator Correa is the best choice for the election. He has bipartisan support, having been endorsed by District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, as well as the Orange County Employees Association and the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs.
For almost two years, every one of us has been victimized by the county illegally taking money from our paychecks. We have fought the county’s illegal actions in court, and will continue to do so during the appeals. However, if we want to change the way the county treats us that change has to come from the top. We believe Senator Correa will treat us fairly and will provide competent and ethical leadership to the county. OCAA is proud to endorse Senator Correa.
